The Turks and Caicos Islands is the perfect getaway for people looking to have fun combined with some of the best culinary offerings in the Caribbean. Turks and Caicos has some of the best restaurants that come highly recommended when you visit.
Here are some of our favorite Turks and Caicos dining favorites:
Infiniti
This open-air restaurant has a very chic, happening vibe. Dress up in island chic as you enjoy the ambiance of oil lamps with an exquisite ocean view. If you’re risque enough, go for their raw bar which offers scallops, mahimahi, fresh tuna, and salmon. The portions are well-sized, delicious, and the views are phenomenal.
Coco Bistro
Set a block off the beach in a lush coconut forest, Coco Bistro is beautifully designed and has the best dining ambiance a restaurant has to offer. The food is well portioned and fantastic. Cuisine style is mediterranean with Caribbean flare. A must while visiting but make sure to book at least 3 weeks in advance!
Favorite Dishes: rack of lamb and the blackened mahi-mahi
Grace’s Cottage at Point Grace Resort
This is truly one of our favorites. The restaurant is set in an older Caribbean colonial style. The dining setting is in a beautiful garden outside with many private pathways to your own discreet and private table. Staff are attentive and the food is fabulous.
Favorite Dishes: steak and sea bass
Magnolia
A hidden gem away from the the condos of Grace Bay. This restaurant is set on the ridge overlooking Turtle Cove Marina and the North shore of Providenciales. Spectacular views await, especially during sunset. Make sure to say hi to restaurant owners Tracy and Gianni.
Favorite Dish: seared ahi tuna
Seven at The Seven Stars Resort
This restaurant is really nice. It is located right in the heart of Grace Bay in the Seven Stars Resort. The restaurant is one of few on the island that offers interior air-conditioned dining as well as outside al-fresco. We especially love their bar. If you love good cocktails, this is your spot!
Favorite dish: risotto
Baci Restaurant
Set in Turtle Cove Marina, this is the spot for your freshest fish dishes. The owner, John, has fresh-caught local fish most days for lunch and dinner. Make sure to check the Specials board for these offerings. Baci is open for lunch and dinner daily.
Provence
If you have ever been lucky enough to visit the South of France, the food and the wine leave a lasting impression on you. So, when a restaurant opens with a name like Provence and knowing that our favorite Chef on Provo is the man in the kitchen, we immediately got excited about it. This place is fantastic.
It is located in the chic Le Vele Plaza in Grace Bay and is open for Lunch and Dinner daily. Chef Eric has created a new restaurant inspired by the cuisine of his home country France and infused the fresh seafood available in The Turks and Caicos. Lunch service is set up as an upscale, casual patio dining experience while the dinner service is another must do fine dining experience while visiting the islands.
Via Veneto
Great food and great staff. It starts with the ownership here, Aldo and Catherine bring a really cool and relaxed dining experience to Grace Bay with fresh ingredients ordered in directly from their hometown, Rome.
Via Veneto make all of their pastas and pizzas in house and serve on the second floor of the Ports of Call Plaza each evening. They offer great fish dishes as well with our favorite being the Filleto Di Snapper. Saturdays are pizza nights, a night of strictly pizza prepared in the brick oven imported from Italy and with a thin crust, Roman Style!
Mango Reef
Mango Reef is located in The Turtle Cove Marina of Providenciales. They are open for lunch and dinner daily and offer a great variety of food on their menu from ribs falling off the bone with mashed potatoes to fresh fish ceviches, to Thai Green Curries. Service is fast and the atmosphere pleasant. A great and easy option that impresses the whole family.
Da Conch Shack
“Da Conch Shack” has been an island favorite amongst residents and tourists for many years now. They are located in Blue Hills, on the beach. Fisherman bring in their local catch daily by boat and sell to the restaurant right on the beach. The purchased conch is placed in a pen in the ocean in front of the restaurant while the fish is brought inside to be prepared for the day.
As you order your conch, a restaurant staff will fetch a live conch out of the ocean, remove it from the shell and cook it for you to your order; cracked, fried, stewed or even raw into a conch salad!
Da Conch Shack is open for Lunch and Dinner daily.
